Jota was a key player for the team during his time at Molineux, scoring 44 goals in 131 appearances before joining Liverpool five years ago. His contributions to the team during their promotion season under manager Nuno Espirito Santo are still remembered fondly by fans.
"We are all still reeling from this devastating loss," said John Richards, chairman of the Wolves Hall of Fame and club vice-president. "We wanted to pay a tribute to Diogo's remarkable career and the impact he had on our team and fans."
The club hopes that this gesture will bring some comfort to those who were close to Diogo and Andre. "We trust that our supporters will understand the love and admiration that drove this decision," Richards added.
