"Coming into this game, a point might have been acceptable, but now, given the circumstances, it's a missed opportunity," Iraola lamented to the Daily Echo.

"We had the extra man, but we didn't utilize it effectively. The game didn't change much from the first half to the second. We were already controlling the ball, but we lacked the finesse and precision to make a difference," he added.

"Palace were already defending deep with eleven men, but they lost their counter-attacking threat, which was their main danger. Despite this, their game plan remained largely unchanged," Iraola explained.

"The spaces were tight, and we didn't have the clarity or the technical ability to exploit them. Palace defended well, and the slow pitch didn't help our cause," he continued.

"We had 70% possession and 15 shots on goal, but we couldn't find that moment of brilliance to break them down. We didn't damage them enough," Iraola concluded.

"We should've left our mark on them!"

Despite their dominance, the Cherries were unable to find the back of the net.

"Palace defended well, there's no denying that. They were compact and resilient," Iraola acknowledged.

"The pitch was slow, which made technical play difficult, and we made mistakes in turning. Palace played with three center backs, which made it even more challenging," he added.

"We needed a moment of magic, a spark to break through, but we just couldn't find it," Iraola lamented.
